This item is the Butterick Sewing Pattern #5938 shown here. This pattern has no copyright date, but is likely from the mid 1970's. The pattern is complete - uncut, unused and still in factory folds. The instructions are in the envelope. The pattern is a size 10: Bust 32½"; Waist 24"; Hips 34½". The pattern's written description reads as follows: "Misses' Bridal Gown: Floor-length bridal gowns with shaped hemline train and floor length bridesmaids gwon have self or contrast fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, waistline seaming, three tier gathered skirt and back zipper. A: sheer dress over underdress has wide full length sheer sleeves gathered at cap and into buttoned cuffs and purchased lace trim. B and D: have self waistline band and wide full-length sleeves gathered at cap and into contrast cuffs. Optional underlining. C: sheer dress over underdress has wide elbow length sheer sleeves gathered at cap with elasticized lower edge and purchased lace trim." |
